This is a Medium Density, grip faced pad also known as Hook and Loop.  It is considered a Medium Density Vacuum Pad. It is 6 inches in diameter with multiple holes for use with Abranet abrasives for complete airflow across all of the pad.
The spindle is 5/16 inch x 24 thread, so it will fit may other brands of sanders including hutchins, Dynabrade, Snap-On and many others, so you can enjoy the Dust Free benefits of Mirka Abranet with most any vacuum sander.  Of course, none will work better than the Mirka Deros Electric Dust Collection Sander.  The pad is 6 inches in diameter (150mm) and is also available in 3 inch and 5 inch,
Good for up to 13,000RPM and works well with Mirka’s Hook and Loop Pad Saver which prevents the backing pad from wearing out to rapidly by providing a sacrificial hook and loop layer that is less expensive to replace then the backing bad.
Interface Pads are also available when a softer surface is needed.
When used in conjunction with the Mirka Hook & Loop Pad Saver Disc they enables smooth and stable Abranet sanding, and prevents the backing pad from rapid wear out.  In effect, it is a sacrificial hook n loop layer, which is less expensive to replace than the whole backing pad.
On the technical side, The high quality construction features advanced molded polymer, these pads are balanced to control vibration and are truly all about the finish – when coupled with Mirka Abranet - mirror smooth and perfectly level is what it is all about.
Pads are sold individually and work well with all other brands of hook and loop sanding disks, although, in combination with Abranet, it can’t be beat.
We are barraged with endless free samples of abrasives from the various manufacturers and jobbers and dealers – we give them a try – but in 30 years, none have changed our mind.  Not even close!
