    Description

    A very nice early Orissa bronze cast sculpture of a frog. The animal is nicely detailed with a stunning patina.This is not a modern casting! It dates to the early 19th century or possibly earlier. I purchased this frog at a small shop located in the Oberoi grand hotel in Kolkata in 1992. At that time these were very rare. I've seen modern copies, but this is the real deal.
