Antique Thai Temple Buddha Sculpture From Thailand • 4.5" Tall • 1800s or Older

This is a very old, authentic statue of Buddha that most likely came out of Thailand or close by in Southeast Asia. I can't tell the exact age but I definitely know it is somewhere in the 1800s or earlier. This was found in a collection of very early Buddhas, some dated to the 1600s. It measures 4.5" tall but probably originally was 5". The very small tip on top was broken off a very long time ago. This is most likely bronze with a gold plating or very old gold leaf. Some of the gold is missing on the face area, otherwise it is in very good condition. You can still see the residue of red candle wax in the recesses. It possibly had a red seal on the back at one time. Many of these small Buddhas were placed in small coves inside the Buddhist temples.
