MOVIE THEATER TRANSPARENCY
ULTRA RARE !
When I went to a local movie house (long since gone) in 1992 to see the third installment of the ALIEN series, I spied this plastic transparency mounted over the entrance to the theater. It was backlit and very cool! I asked the young fellow, the manager, if I could somehow get that piece. Well, as it turned out that day would be the last showing of the film and the last showing that day.
We worked something out...So twenty seven years later, without ever displaying the piece properly, I'm putting it up for auction. It measure 5" X 25" and will be shipped carefully.
*NOTE*
There is a small area (around the letter "A") where the black transparency is smudged. See photo.
Since it was meant to be mounted onto a
similarly
sized light, the full effect would be realized. But its up to you as to how to show it off best. Reflections in the transparency are not flaws. It was difficult taking a photo without massive reflections due to its surface.
