Our Shop has been using this product for Decades.  We use it Dry on wood as a pre-treatment prior to finishing and for polishing between coats of finish and as a final post-finish treatment.  It is fabulous on Solid Surfaces such as Corion Metal, Plastics and more.  It works Wet or Dry, but the finer grits work best wet.  It takes very little water and the foam pad retains the water with very little slinging out the sides.  We usually just a fine mist spray bottle to apply a little water as we go.  Because the foam makes it work well on contours and irregular surfaces, we find it to be our Go-To abrasive for removing Oxidation for instance on Fiberglass.  It makes for a smooth sanding pattern on angled surfaces, edges, rolled or rounded over edges contours and the like with minimized risk of pressure marks and burn-throughs.
The abrasive surface is actually an abrasive fabric that water and fine particles can  pass through.  These pads can be washed out in the sink and reused when they begin to clog and are often good for a few cleanings before the abrasive wears.  With grigs up to 4000 you can produce a mirror finish that will be amazing.   It is the perfect Post-Finish treatment for any surface, wood, composite, Fiberglass Epoxy or Polyester or metal.  Abralon really shines with finishes such as Lacquer.
Abralon works well with Pnumatic Sanders and most electric machines such as the Mirka Deros, even when using wet when spraying just a fine mist with a spray bottle or by occasionally spraying the pad itself.

Our woodshop is always buzzing with work on wooden boats, refitting yacht casework and interiors and all sorts of other fun, and it is a rare day that d/a’s and sanders of various sorts aren’t heard buzzing somewhere nearby.  Close to all of our work stations is a good supply of Abranet and Abralon.   Yellow Mirka tools loaded with Mirka Abrasives are all over the place.

It would be enough to brag on the fine, super consistent scratch free sanding you get that is second to none among the world of abrasives.  But that’s just scratching the surface (if you will pardon the pun).
